Our Babies Eudora & Elena: Sick Sick Girl

Dear Eudora,

Baby you're so sick and mommy's heart is bleeding =(

It all started on thursday with mild fever in the morning. Gave you fever medicine and hoped it'll go away but you weren't better in the evening (even had puffy eyes, drippy mucus & lost of voice) thus decided to bring you to your usual PD Dr Anne but when we reached the clinic, Dr Anne was on holiday and another PD Dr Ho P.S was on duty.

Arghhh never ever visit Dr Ho P. S again as she's a very 'Loh Soh' doctor!!! The consultation alone took about 15-20minutes. Plus the medicine she gave doesn't make you better. Fed you the medicine when we reached home but you were feeling really bad and woke up all through the night having blocked nose and coughing away.

Friday was even worse and you refused food or milk the WHOLE day!!! Daddy & Mommy was soo worried as it seemed that you were hungry but couldn't get the milk down your throat. You did ask for milk but whenever mommy feed you, you'll shake your head vehemently and just cry. Couldn't bring you back to see the 'Loh Soh' PD as she wasn't any good thus daddy decided to bring you to children's A&E at NUH. Thanks to Uncle Bernard and Aunty Debbie who fetched us there and back home.

Upon arrival at NUH, only one parent was allowed to go in. Mommy had to pacify a cranky and irritated you all by myself. And stupid NUH regulations was that we had to stay in an isolation room to wait for the doctor. Gosh you were crying for Daddy and wanted to be out of the stupid room. Mommy took a walk along the corridor but that didn't work and the stupid automated door to access the isolation rooms couldn't be opened from the inside with not a soul was in sight!!! All the while you were crying hysterically (no voice left and trying to scream with whatever energy you had left) and nobody seemed to care!!! Oh gosh, mommy never felt as helpless as this in my whole life! =(

Finally managed to get a nurse attention to open the door by knocking forcefully on the window. Managed to get Daddy in too but things didn't seem to get better as estimated time was 1-2 hours wait for the doctor!!! Arghhh couldn't anyone hear or see that we have a near hysterical baby here? Daddy had to scold and shout at the nurses and doctors before a doctor attended to you. Wow we'll really blow our top if we had to wait for that long for the doctor. Mommy was even telling daddy to forget it and we'll go to KK Hospital. Stupid daddy who insisted on NUH saying that its better!!!

You were struggling and screaming like mad when the doctor tried to examine you. We left immediately after collecting your medicine. This time round, the medicine works and you could sleep peacefully but have nightmares during the night. Kept on jolting in your sleep and crying... think the frequent doctors visit was too much for you to handle and had a deep impression on you. Hope you'll get over it soon...
